hey guys...i recently bought an ASRock K7S41GX MoBo, Installed and running fine. but i seem to have problems trying to get my ATI Radeon 9600SE to work with it. I made sure tht its seated right and everything. and i know the card works (working fine till i switched boards).
The monitor doesnt come on at all. Im not sure if it'll work if i disable the on-board VGA, but dunno how to do it...no option in BIOS, and no jumper settings were specified in the MoBo manual.
appreciate any help, thanks!
If there's no jumper or BIOS entry to disable the onboard video adapter, then it may be automatically disabled when an external video card is installed.
But that does not appear to be the case with your MB.
So remove the ATI card, start in Safe mode, disable the onboard video adapter in Device Manager, shut down(do not restart), insert the ATI card, and see if Windows recognizes the card and installs its drivers.
If not, then you may have to back up your critical files, reformat the HD, and reinstall Windows, which is recommended whenever a new MB is installed.

k...the card was busted. switched it with a BFG GeForce 5500 OC, and its fine now!
Glad to hear that you got things fixed, and thanks for posting back.
