Hi i have XP home SP2 and every time i log off (or shut down since that kinda is logging off too) I have a window pop up that is an "End Program Now" window which has a progress bar timer and it says the usual "if you end now your unsaved work will be lost..." other than this being a nuisance when i shut down since i have to wait and click one or two more buttons to end the program, i think that maybe there could be something wrong with the program and this is a side-effect. has anybody had this problem or an idea how to fix it? i have scanned with norton systemworks and antivirus and have all the windows updates so i'm not sure what to do really. also i dont know if the occurence of this problem coincides with a particular update since MS has decided to make their updates virtually invisible backround tasks and my computer is usually on all the time.

There are many possiblities, a malware infestation other than a virus should be ruled out. One of the Malware Experts will be along to help soon.

Have you scanned your system with Ad-Aware and/or SpyBot Search and Destroy?

Malware is the most probable cause of your error.
After scanning with AdAware and Spybot, if the problem persists, post a Hijack this log for checking.
