Okay I have this problem in the monitor that one color of it is kind of missing. I have read that the monitor have 3 main colors which is the Red/Green/Blue. Firts I thought it was the video card so I have to replace the video card but still the same problem the color red is not functioning correnctly. So I guess the problem would have to be in the monitor. So any ideas on how can I sold this problem. Feel free for all of your solution or ideas. Thanks in advace :)

Hi Xiporb, and welcome to the PCGuide.

The first thing to do is to get a friend to bring over a working monitor, and swap them to see if you get the same effect. If not, then, for these purposes, your monitor would seem to be ok. Do that much first before you buy anymore new expensive equipment.

If the monitor is bad, you can get a good used one at a computer show cheap (if it's hard to layout more new-priced money), and the good thing about that is they have them plugged in so you can actually see how they are working.

There are others that be along and ask about your situation, therefore, please post:

PC name and age, Operating System (OS), RAM, type of video card (old and new), monitor name and age, last update of drivers for monitor etc., updated OS ?

Just in case--what is your AV, firewall, and what, if any, anti-spyware programs do you use (SpyBot, Adaware etc.)
