how can I write such as 'Charles 2nd' in roman numerals? in word or publisher.
Charles II seems to work fine for me with the capital i = I
Doesn't that work in yours?

Yep, any font you want - except maybe wingdings - capital i is the way to go. Grab the right font and you'll have the top and bottom bars too.

yep, but none gives the proper 'joined up' roman, only a compromise.

That's true, I haven't seen a font that I recall that has a true joined bar look, maybe something downloadable might, thousands are out there...

Vic, you can go here and download a Roman Numeral font, of course it is shareware but I think you can download a demo
