View Full Version : PC will not boot, even to safe mode
My PC(Win98) fails to boot up, it had recently complained about missing drivers (USD something), I used my Win98 cd to re-install, now I have zero finctionality. It sometimes gets to the Win 98 screen, but no further. What should/can I do ?

Have you tried booting with a floppy boot disk? If you do not have one you can get one here http://www.bootdisk.com/

And make sure your CPU fan is working. Overheating will cause computer to stop. Although you should get a nice error message.
You can also use the <esc> key to clear the logo and see if there are any hidden error messages......
