Hello everyone, I have begun studying for the Microsoft Windows XP 70-270 exam. The long run goal will be MCSE, but becoming MCP will work for now :)

In preperation for the test I have ordered :

MCSE Windows XP Professional Exam Cram 2 (Exam Cram 70-270)
(Sybex) MCSA/MCSE Windows XP Professional Study Guide, Second Edition (70-270)

I also plan on reading the Technet Articles, MSDN, and if it comes down to it, the MS WinXP help files themselves :D

Are there any other resources you would suggest me reading in order to fully prepare for the exam ?

Thanks for the replys and suggestions !

I, too, am in the midst of Win XP 70-270. I am currently enrolled in a Technical Institute for my MCSE class. I have recently passed the OS portion of my A+ (The certificate just arrived 2 days ago! :) ).

In addition to my class book which is the MCSE Training Kit, I purchased Exam Cram 2 and also an Osbourne/McGraw Hill published book written by Curt Simmons. I got both of the extra books for a slightly different view, but mainly for the practice exams included with each. I did the same thing with A+, tried to get as many practice exams as I could to get different questions and angles on things.

The bottom line is that I have heard many good things and many bad things about each of the books out there. You'll just have to pick and choose to see what suits your style of learning and go with it. In addition to all of the extra books, I got a set of 6 CDs off of eBay, for the MCSE 2003 class, of CBT to work with. I want to make sure I have as much as I can on this...I'm 35 and starting over, so I need all the help I can get at this point! ;)
