I use ZA Pro on a couple of machines, and after a few problems went to the ZA forums where a post reveals that there is a bug.

Everyone who uses ZA and has updated recently should go into the privacy section, right click and look through the settings - the medium setting on cookie control has a problem which by default allowsweb bugs . On one machine I also found that Mobile code was enabled by default - I had some problems and considered the machine to be compromised, so wiped it and started again.

This must be on ZAP only, I am running ZAF and don't see what you are posting about.

PrntRhd--Thanks for the heads-up. I have ZA Pro and looked at the settings. It is set at Medium for cookie control. What is the best setting for it? I'm wondering if I should just turn it off since I control the cookies through Internet Explorer. I have IE set at Medium High for cookies. Did you turn yours off?

Actually it was Deddard's post re settings on ZAP.

Medium is fine for cookie control, but the defaults that go with it is where the bug lies. if you start at medium, then click the custom control and go through the tabs - you may find different settings. mine had both web bugs and mobile code enabled - not the best idea for security!

PrntRhd - interesting to note that it's the Pro version only, it obviously means something to do with the extra features of Pro is where the problem lies.

I have ZAP on my tower and have no issue there -- but I'm still with ZAP 4.5 -- never upgraded due to the 5.x issues. Well, that's not true. I did upgrade and could not get online at all after so I went back to 4.5 and refuse to consider 5.anything. I recently started using the SPF and AVG combo on my laptop and have found that to be excellent.
