I have a friend that I am trying to help get a system together via IMs. She's building a new system with an MSI main board.

Question: This is a RAID capable board. If she doesn not plan to set up a RAID array, does she still need to do the F6 deal to load the RAID drivers?

I had an Asus board years ago and I believe I remeber having to load them whether or not I was setting up a RAID.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you don't. I've never done it before, but a month or two ago I read through a "how to build a computer" article in Maximum PC, and I think I remember reading "skip this step if you're not using RAID." I'll get the article and post back this afternoon.

I grabbed the wrong magazine as a left home to come back for lunch. Sorry I can't say for sure, but I still don't think it's necessary.
