I can't turn off AVG auto-run.

AVG release 7.0.296 has an auto-run feature that launches the virus check every 24 hrs. whether I want it or not. This wasn't the case with previous versions which allowed me to check manually. How do I disable the auto-run? I've checked every setting but don't find it.

a. R-click the AVG icon in the System Tray.
b. Select "Launch AVG Control Center".
c. Click on the "Scheduler" box.
d. Click the "Scheduled Tasks" button.
e. Highlight [click on] "Test Plan in Basic Mode".
f. Click the "Edit Schedule" button.
g. In "Schedule a Test" : Untick "periodically start scheduled antivirus test".
h. Click "OK" button in "Schedule a test".
i. Click "Close" button on "Scheduled Tasks".
j. Close the AVG Control Center.
