While you are wating for an HJT expert to read your log, read this:

Tatsumaru

it says that the virus has been detected and deleted, but it actually hasn't, because get the message almost straight away afterwards :(

First, perform an on-line scan at Trend Micro (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/).

Boot into safe mode and scan for virus there.

Next go to Windows update and update all critical patches except for SP2.

DO NOT INSTALL SERVICE PACK 2 YET
Re-post your HJT LOG. Post the entire log this time as it appears it was truncated. Use more than one post if you have to.

Also post the results of the 2 scans.

ok i done two scans, one was in normal mode on the site you gave me the address to, and one was in safe mode on mcafee, both found no viruses at all! i then installed the windows updates (quite a few needed installing) and the log for HJT looks like this:

http://img157.exs.cx/img157/2593/hjt6ma.jpg

Re-post your HJT LOG. Post the entire log this time as it appears it was truncated. Use more than one post if you have to.

i'm probably really dumb, but by truncated, do ya mean how it looks when ive just done the scan?

would it be a good idea to install sp2 now? its just i heard that it can make certain software not work?

is there any way i can see how it would affect certain software on my system?

You MUST get patched to keep the korgo worm from reinfecting:

Your log looks free of malware. I would do as I suggested earlier and PrntRhd just mentioned and update windows except for SP2.

Then run the on-line scan and the local scan and tell us what they say.
