I am buying a computer in lots of peices. This will be th first time i have done so and I am having a problem with cases and motherboards. I have found two motherboards that I like the look of and have what I need for my budget. The problemis that I cant find a case that will fit the connectors (you know for the PS2, USB, Parallel Ports etc). The motherboards are:

MSI K7N2 Delta-L SKT
Gigabyte GA-7N400PRO2

They just wont fit in any of the cases I have seen. Is it possible to get different case panels to suit the needs of my mobo or ami stumped?

Any feedback welcome

Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forums.

I don't think you need to worry too much about this. The back I/O panel on the majority of new cases is removable. Also, the majority, if not all, modern motherboards come bundled with their own rear I/O panel which can be snapped in to the back of the case.

I guarantee that the boards you listed will have their own I/O panel bundled. Let us all know what cases you have in mind. It would be foolish of any case maker to NOT have a removable backplate considering the wide variety of I/O panel configurations on today's motherboards.

See bundle for the Gigabyte board here : http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage.asp?image=13-128-199-10.jpg/13-128-199-07.jpg/13-128-199-08.jpg/13-128-199-04.JPG/13-128-199-01.JPG&CurImage=13-128-199-04.JPG

Thank you very much for your help. The cases that I am interested in are:

Ebuyer Spider Atx Case In Black
Ebuyer Extra Value Dracula
Ebuyer X-313bk

Again Thank you for your help and I do hope that you are right (and you most probably are).

This has got to be the best Computer Forum that I have ever posted on.

You're welcome. I took a look at each case you listed at the ebuyer site : http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=3988336590&action=c2hvd3N1YmNhdGVnb3J5X3NlYXJjaA==&cat_uid=23&stid=2
(for those interested, there is an image gallery for each case).

You have nothing to worry about. The back I/O bracket can be popped out on each of those cases, and like I said, either of the boards you mentioned will come bundled with its own I/O bracket.

Have fun!http://pcguide.com/ubb/smile.gif
