I'm having trouble closing Win XP; it hangs in the "shutting down" mode. In trying to resolve that issue, now I receive a notice that "GetNet Time" is trying to close, then it quits resonding, I cancel it and try to shut down and the cycle repeats itself. Google search on "GetNet Time" gets zero results, as does this site.
Could someone please offer some information on this ellusive "program", what's it origin, why is little/no information on it, how do I get rid of it?
Thanks.

Hi hkoons, welcome to the forums.

Do you not see it in add/remove programs in the control panel?

I thank you for the reply. Now I kick myself for not recognizing it, but still wonder why I was unable to pick it up on a quoted google search??

Onward now to solve my shutdown problems....
