Which P4 should I get?

Hi, I'm trying to decide which processor i should get from newegg. It seems that the P4 2.4 Ghz w/ HT has the most votes, followed by the P4 3.0 Ghz w/ HT and then the 2.8 Ghz w/ HT. There's some athlon XP's in i between the 3.0 and the Amd64 3000+. Should I just get one of the intels, the amd64, or a athlon xp 2100+?

Gonna need more info here. What core revisions are those CPU's that you listed? For instance, that 3GHz P4 - is it a Northwood C or Prescott? And that AthlonXP 2100+ is a T-bred B? Have you looked at the Semprons or AthlonXP Bartons for AMD? And of course we'd like to know your budget and intended use of the new/upgraded PC.
