ok
I know I may be laughed at here on this (http://www.getodd.com/stuf/stupid/hdcp/hdcp.html) one.....
It is not psychological, power of suggestion, or blind "hope".
I HAVE noticed a MARKED IMPROVEMENT after using the thing!!!
Now, considering the source (a parody/hoax web site) I thought it was a joke or whatever.... but this thing actually did something
Please... can anyone tell me if they had heard of anything like this working (legit) ??
GH, mjc, iisbob....... anyone??
If you run this you will see, it is much too elaborate to be a mere joke??

I understand the above comments however can anyone answer to me why I scored 38 points HIGHER after running this?
pcpitstop, fresh boot with nothing else running normal overall score= 438, after= 476.
?
note: I'm aware that this is not a scientific test and that some don't like it at all, but for me this test has been consistent

Don't know Sea? unless you've changed something else?
But when someone says that your harddrive is badley corroded, you have metal shavings and dead insects in your HD.
#1. what they think i use this thing out doors?
#2. if you got metel shavings your pretty well screwed to begine with?
#3.Bugs in drive? That would be a first seems this thing is sealed No way for bugs to enter?
#4. drive is rated at a #7 before test and #2 after test?
#5. Sending heat at a temp of 3025 thru lines to your computer I think the phone co. and cable people would have a field day in court when they melted everything from here to california let alone your hard drive?
But will let you know if it changes mine, I can't express the heartfelt laughter i'm experiancing right now . http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

glad to make your day, but the even though it's obvious that most of it is a joke, the results still remain.

About the only thing I can think of is maybe it updated your Flash plug-in?
I didn't see one blink on the HD light when I ran it and then I wen back and ran it again and it started at 7 (just like the first time)...just Flash, just Flash....

I've just answered on the other post, but further comment.
I was a little dubious at first as I was worried where the bugs were going to go when they leaped from my tower to escape the inferno. But I overcame my cowardise and give it a go. Fortunately when the bugs leaped out, my mouse leaped up like a bolt of lightening and greedily scoffed the lot.
Nothing nicer apparently to a hungry mouse than fried bugs. !!!!!
Nice one sea.

OK, come on now...we're COMPUTER GEEKS here, we don't rely on some flaky Flash program to clean a hard drive, we're professionals...we do it RIGHT...
If you've never cleaned a hard drive before, Here (http://www.pcnineoneone.com/howto/cleandrive1.html) is a very good article with detailed instructions.
NOTE: Be SURE and read this article closely and thoroughly before attempting the procedures outlined, right up to the last paragraph. If you don't, and scrap your hard drive, you were fully warned in advance.

good article, but I think they missed out the part "soak for an hour or two in battery acid to remove any traces of personal data to prevent unauthorised recovery"
