Brain lock time....
There used to be software that would port a program from one PC to another without using the installation disks. You could port one program or many programs, with or without leaving the program on the original PC. It would copy the correct directories and registry entries.
It was especially helpful if you bought a new PC and wanted to move applications (especially with all those patches!!!).
Any help appreciated!

What particular programs are you asking aout? Many apps work without needing to be in the registry or in Program Files so if they are any of these, you may be able to just copy/paste or burn the program folder to a cd-r and copy/paste that into the new pc to a location of your choice then just create a shortcut to it.
Examples of programs that run from just about anywhere:
Hijack This
Belarc Advisor
Even some picture programs such as
VuePrint Pro

ClassicS,
I clicked on your 'this' and meandered to a statement about that (http://www.spearit.com/downloads.html) which looks pretty interesting.

Thanks.... The Eisenworld/Alohabob PC Relocator Ultra Control was on sale at CompUSA from 1/9 to 1/15 with a CompUSA only $30, rebate. That was the one I was thinking of.... I had also seen the PC Mag review but couldn't find it until your posts. Thanks again!

But the 'that' personal edition is free! And it seems to do exactly what you asked!
I downloaded it (I mean 'that' ) and the pdf manual
