I'm trying to reload a full 95B cd onto an old P-I pc and setup nor setup, exe works. Autorun and many other commands have been tried to no avail. Anyone have an idea what will install it to the C: drive?

So far Classicsoftware has helped me extract a list of the files. They are as follows: (In two parts due to size):

Here's a copy from one of my old WIN95 Cds.

Could it be that there is no setup.exe file
See http://www.thenakedpc.com/tugpcs/extras/osr2.faq.html

19 Apr 97 The part number on the face of my OSR2 CD is 000-45235. What does that mean?

You have a CD with all of the OSR2 files except the setup program ("setup.exe"). This CD is distributed by some large OEMs with complete systems. The idea is, you have all the OSR2 files, in case you want to add or remove OS components, however, you have no setup.exe file, so you can't install OSR2 on another system. However, if you copy all of the files from the CD onto a hard disk, and then copy dossetup.bin, oemsetup.bin, oemsetup.exe, setup.exe, setup.txt, suhelper.bin, and winsetup.bin to the same directory from any version of Windows 95, you can then run setup and install from that directory.

Also the contents of the Win95 folder should be the one containing all the cabs you need. The few files you have in it don't seem to be installation files. All the other folders, such as DEMOS, OTHER, SAMPLE shouldn't AFAIK be necessary for the installation.

Dave, Paul,
You guys are sharp as tacks as usual :p

Seems now, what I have is an upgrade cd. This cd came with an old IBM pc ("Bomb" as LadyGrey likes to call them :D) that I purchased second hand a looong time back. It came with the manual and several other cd's, so I thought it was all complete. The manual even had the key code written on it but the sleeve and sticker for the cd were gone. But now I realise it is an upgrade from 95A to 95B or something to that effect.

By David's list, I'm lacking files he has, esp the proper setup.exe file, but also I have cab files 2 through 28 versus his 2 - 18 and I have files that he does not also.

Therefore I now assume the original cd's or floppies are lost somewhere in oblivion. After exhaustive help in chat last evening (Thanks CS), we came to the same conclusion as here. I'm just going to let it go as making this cd work by gathering the missing files would be fun but it's just not worth it.

A pet project I may resume later if I'm bored, maybe. Wait! Let me say that more clearly.

Maybe!

I think you should be able to tweak the installation along the lines of one of the methods at http://www.thinkpads.com/win95b.htm that is if you have the time and the inclination. The other possibility would be to first install DOS and then try and "upgrade" from there. I have done that with the original (13) Win95 upgrade floppies (which only goes up to cab13) and which were used for upgrading from Win3.1 way back on a 486 system.
