Spam and Mal/Ad-ware sites

i'm pretty sure i made a negative show in another thread. i suppose this is where we discuss what sites out there are dodgy, and where it all comes from. Nobody likes surfing the speed at half the speed because most of the traffic is used up by useless little web apps that have installed just cause you went to search for bumper boober baby stickers or whatever.

Adware is something that really got my goat. we've already identified in the previous post one site that has been linked to installing software without permission.

Who else knows of specific sites?

There are thousands of sites that do drive-by downloads, so a list of them would be futile... Some of the most common are porn sites of course, but sites that provide lyrics are notorious for this as well... P2P networks are infested with malware as well, but not so much in drive-bys...

As far as the poll, it is already illegal in the USA to install software without permission, but that doesn't stop it... What permission involves is often debated and the crapware makers use very liberal definitions (like you click on that little "x" in the upper right hand corner to close a popup)....
