This help desk employee helped himself to information he sold for $60 per victim:

"Losses have been estimated to be between $50m (£38m) and $100m (£76m).
Cummings, who is still free on bail, must report to prison on 9 March. He is also due to pay compensation to be agreed at a later date. "
Okay, I'm not real sure I want to know how he plans to get the money to pay off all that "compensation."

Yeah, I know since $60 X 30,000 victims = $1.8m

Right, but see...that's what he was PAID by his co-conspirators. That's not the losses for which he is "to pay compensation." The losses were 50 to 100 millyun bucks (USD). . . .and there's how many co-conspirators? 5? Ok, let's say 5, and at the lowest estimate that is-- 50 mil$$. That's (fanfare) 10 mil$$ each. So, what are they expecting? The Texas Aggie Lottery probly. . .$10.00 a year for a million years? Or, they send him out to do something creative against foreign gov't or some crime syndicate's holdings, and they credit him on commission --which replaces zilch of the losses he caused, BUT! it will "satisfy all parties concerned," (meaning his lawyer and the Justice Dept.,) and leave the consumer to pay for it with higher insurance rates--TAHDAH!!
Oy. Lawyers.
