Not sure if this is the right category...its not and "upgrading" question...but buying i guess...lol...now that i decided i could handle a game or 2 i want a nice strategy game...the first one i ever played was red alert 2 and i loved it then i had some rise of nations game but never got it to work...i see this game ROME (total war) and it looks sick especially since i love the whole roman empire times but other then that im affraid it might be differant in means of how the gameplay is...so ive come down to either a nice game pack for 20 bucks of what i started with the C&C series which has like 3 games (including my favorite Red Alert 2) and a few expansions...or the ROME- Total War game (i think i saw 39.99)
or my final decision...stop wasting money and just get this damn computer done
ps im also open to suggestions so if u know another strat game feel free to suggest it and ill take a look on my trusty gamespot.com....thanks lata

I'm not really into the whole rts game. I spent about $35 on Civilisation and played it for 30 min. before I became bored. I don't know if something like Rainbow 6 would appeal to you, but there is strategy involved and it's more exciting and it's a more "lifelike" game.

If you like Rainbow 6, then try the Ghost Recon series as well - same series, just a bit different. What is the problem with playing Rainbow 6?

Rainbow Six is pretty good once you get used to it.
Is the game pack of C&C the one with Red Alert 2, Renegade, and Tiberian Sun it? If you like C&C, and you like first person shooters, you will love C&C Renegade. Nothing like being emerged in the world of C&C from a first person perspective. You are a commando, you get to blow buildings up, go into all the building you see in C&C, get in and out of Mammoth and medium tanks, and Humvee's. And the game is not to hard to get the hang of things.
And if you have high speed internet, it is even better on multiplayer on the internet. Multiplayer has all the land vehicles, plus attack choppers and transports. Nukes and Ion cannons. You can be many different characters, all with different weapons. It's the best online game out there in my opinion. I know all the TFC fans are booing me right now, including my daughter.
