Right click My Computer, Manage , local users and groups, click users, right click the users and click properties, make sure they are Members of Users (only), remove Admin or anything else.

If you create a group, put the users in that, with only user permission you can further tighten security ...
Start/settings/control panel/Administrative tools/ Local Security Policy/Local Policies/ User rights assignment. You can lock them down even more.

Users cannot change system settings. They cannot modify the system registry they can access their own shared area. They can't hurt the OS itself. If you want to completely lock them down, log in as Administrator, open My Computer, right click the C: drive and limit permissions. They (users group)should have read and execute, list and read. Make sure the everyone group is removed. System and administrator need full access. They won't be able to write to the drive at all. I do this to my kids computer.

If you didnt follow my previous steps this wont work.
