Hi all,

I am experiencing a pop up problem, i am studying computers (IT) at the moment but have limited knowledge of the registry and malware at this time , i am already learning alot here by reading posts of great people like budfred and others.

Programs tried:
Spybot S&D
Adaware
Spyware Doctor
Spyhunter

Heres my HJT log:

You have a hefty mess there... Please start by downloading and running CWShredder:

http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract/cwshredder_download.html

I hope you did not pay for SpyHunter... It has a history of being a rogue program and continues to be inadequate at best... Read here:

http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

Please use my link for HijackThis below and download LSPfix from that site... Run it and agree: "I know what I'm doing"... Choose all instances of aklsp.dll and calsp.dll for removal... Let it do the fix and proceed... DO NOT fix any other items you find in the list...

Open an HJT scan and check these items if they are still there:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer,SearchURL = http://searchmiracle.com/sp.php
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://searchmiracle.com/sp.php
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://searchmiracle.com/sp.php
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://searchmiracle.com/sp.php
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\about.htm
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O2 - BHO: &EliteBar - {28CAEFF3-0F18-4036-B504-51D73BD81ABC} - C:\WINDOWS\EliteToolBar\EliteToolBar.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [VBouncer] C:\PROGRA~1\VBouncer\VirtualBouncer.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ntechin] C:\WINDOWS\system32\n20050308.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Dvx] C:\WINDOWS\System32\wsxsvc\wsxsvc.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [vmss] C:\WINDOWS\System32\vmss\vmss.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Narrator] C:\WINDOWS\System32\qyku.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [kalvsys] C:\windows\system32\kalvapm32.exe
O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.real.com/04f6433...ip/RdxIE601.cab

Unless you are using a proxy service based in HongKong, you will need to check this one too...

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings,ProxyServer = 210.3.132.167:1080

Now close all open windows except HJT and click Fix Checked...

Reboot into Safe Mode and find/remove these files/folders... You will probably need to set WinXP to show all hidden and system files to see them:

C:\PROGRA~1\VBouncer\VirtualBouncer.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\n20050308.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\wsxsvc\wsxsvc.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vmss\vmss.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\qyku.exe
C:\windows\system32\kalvapm32.exe

Reboot to Normal mode and prepare an HJT log to post here...

There is one infection in there that will probably persist and we will need to find the root of it and kill it... Please download this file and run the FindNarrator.bat to produce a log and then post that log in your next response along with the HJT log... Please DO NOT reboot after posting that log...

To tell the truth
I'ts not really my problem but a friend of mine's. ( changed the desktop name for privacy reasons, his real name was displayed)
He cant speak english (we are dutch) though and hes really bad with computers who came to me for help cauz i am a IT student.... but like i said i havent got enough knowledge of malware and the register..., but i will do the things you tell me on his computer this weekend, expect a reply tommorow or maybe this evening.
However the not rebooting part after running that findit might be a small problem due too me being at my friends place the same time u are online unless he doesnt mind leaving his computer on a day or two , i will check this with him.

Thanks for the help!

You can access the forum and post a response from your friends computer so that he can keep it turned on... If he reboots, some of the malware will rebuild and we will need new logs to find and kill it... If he keeps rebooting after each log, it won't be possible to completely kill it with the fixes we have to use now... There is a new fix being developed, but I don't know when it will be ready...
