How do you know you have Vx2?? I do not see the usual signs of it in your log... There are some things that need to be fixed however... Please open an HJT scan and check these:
O2 - BHO: SDWin32 Class - {EE207923-3C00-4951-BB1D-4801321FCD92} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\ynlge.dll
O2 - BHO: SDWin32 Class - {FB616A49-ED67-4CA2-AFEB-45EB1F0F4E3A} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\fdllh.dll
O2 - BHO: SDWin32 Class - {FBF89E37-6D21-41F8-A9E1-3FE4D87150D8} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\dgscc.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [vgqmtwn] c:\windows\system32\vgqmtwn.exe
Then close all open windows except HJT and click Fix Checked...
Reboot and post a fresh log with details about how you know that Vx2 is here...
Oh, and I moved this to the appropriate forum....

ok did as you said-the new hjt logfile follows-you had asked why i thought vx2 was on the system-both adaware se and microsoft antispyware were reporting it-i took the liberty of following some of the advice already posted here to attempt to remove it, and apparently had some measure of sucess-what has been happening on the system though is that popups have been trying to come through, but have been stopped-but it does knock you off what you were working on, so you have to click back into it-the popups are not making it, but the constant reclicking to, say type in a search box is kind of annoying-not as annoying as several million popups, but still annoying-i did notice that one of the things you asked me to remove is still there-the vgqmtwn.exe looks as though it is enjoying it here, and is not quite ready to leave-how sad for it.....anyway, the logfile follows, and thank you for the help

oh and sorry about posting in the wrong place-it was a rookie mistake!
Budfred

Okay, try this... Open an HJT scan and fix this again:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [vgqmtwn] c:\windows\system32\vgqmtwn.exe
Keep HJT open and go to Misc Tools and use the Delete on reboot option to kill this:
c:\windows\system32\vgqmtwn.exe
Reboot and post a fresh log so we can see if it is gone... Create the log right away, but run your scans again to see if the Vx2 is still showing up before you post... Let us know what you see...

Your log looks clean now... After you reset System Restore, run the scan again and see if it is still complaining of problems... Let the MS program fix it if it can... Let me know if it can't...

Great!! Thanks for reporting back...
Here is my prevention speech to avoid having to go through this again:
This is a good time to set up protection against further attacks. Read the article linked below about "How did I get infected". You need an antivirus that is updated, a good firewall (a router firewall is not enough) and a spyware blocker like SpywareBlaster and also IE-Spyads. All of these have good free versions available... be very cautious about any security software that advertises in popups or other intrusive ways, they are not only usually useless, but also often have malware in them....

Joeman,
you will have to start your own thread. DO not mix logs as noone will know if the advice is for you or the original poster.
Dandruf:
The one thing Budfred did not mention is: The best way to avoid spyware is to avoid Internet Explorer. I personally use FireFox (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/) and I have been spyware free since then. Simply by using a Non-Active-X browser, you are safer. The advantages of Firefox are legion:
Safer
Faster
Built in Pop-Up blocker
Built in Google tool bar
Easy to customize
and did I say safer

Joeman128,
When you start your thread and post your log, make sure you post the entire log which includes the header... We can't work your log until we see the whole thing....
Also, say what you have already tried to fix any problem you have and describe the problem....
