this may not be the right place for this post and i apologize it just doesnt fit in many places, it does involve buying tho i guess :-\...well anyway most video games except shooters and racing i stick to consoles...mainly because i cant find a good comfortable controller...so my first question is...i've heard about an adapter that converts my Sony PS2 controller to usb?...is there a such thing? and if so WHERE!?!?!?...lol

my next question is pretty differant... along with playing PS2 its just not the same without playing multiplayer my only problem is i can never figure out how to get multi player to work...i simply plug in my ethernet cable into my ps2 from my modem the modem light that says PC activity lights up and blinks or what not...but i get no connection?? no matter what kind of setup i try, a friend of mine who i must say doesnt know much about computers told me i had to go threw a router? which sounded kinda bizarre but at the same time i couldnt think of anything else...would i router make a differance? and are there any other reasons you can think of?

For console-to-PC adapters, look no further than here (http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=10&products_id=3833&PHPSESSID=40b28f8b4582081b5102d1fcb2a211cf)! That's where I got my adapter for emulator fun, although mine is a slightly older model. Also, it doesn't like copy-cat controllers like Mad Catz or others, although again mine is older so the new one may work better. I also found that the driver disc is mostly unnecessary for WinXP. Be warned, though! The shipping alone may kill you! Liksang.com is based in asia. $12.50 USD for the adapter itself, but you might want to get your friends in on the deal for a bulk discount and to spread out the shipping. Liksang is as good as they come for special asian market gaming goods - they even sell true Japanese language games! :D

As for getting your PS2 online, you'll have to discuss the matter with your ISP. They're the ones who can set up your connection for the special features of consoles. Console network adapters are finicky, and they aren't as friendly or "adapting" as your common $10 PCI network adapters for the PC. Quite strange IMO, but hey, you take what you can get with proprietary stuff!
