Internet Explorer 6

I downloaded IE 6 from the web and ever since I've had trouble with my computer locking up. I'll be working on something and after 15-30 minutes nothing will work and I have to restart. I could not find an uninstall for
IE 6 when I searched my files. The only reference to this problem suggested
deleting all my temporary internet files, which I did, but the problem still exist. I don't want to use my step back program because I haven't used it for quite a while and would lose a lot of data. Anyone have a similar problem and know the fix?

What operating system are you using? Go to add and remove programs, and remove it or repair it there.

I must of had brain freeze Andy. I thought of that a couple of minutes after I posted. But thanks so much for the quick reply. I went back to IE5, we'll see if that was the problem. Thanks again, whenever I bring something to the forum I always get the answer I need.
