Hello All, I recently went and decided to switch from Optimum to Verizon DSL, and with that decision came a new DSL modem with an intergrated Westell Router/Wireless AP. I configured everything up and are getting internet services fine, I can browse the internet and do many other internet related things, but the one thing that for some reason doesn't work now is VPN to my office. I have called Verizon to make sure they don't block the pptp port which they say they dont. I went into the services of the Westell router and added PPTP and IPSEC into the services to make sure that it wasn't blocking at all. I turned off the firewall to make sure that wasn't the problem. After playing with this for a bit I was able to access the VPN 1 out of every 10 times. Sometimes I have to reset the router and when it comes back up it allows me to connect. The DSL setting is set to Always on for the PPPoE session with Verizon. Has anyone else experience this issue before, and if so how did you resolve it.
