I am trying to build a pc for web design, photo design, and some video editing, and some occasional Tiger Woods and Axis and Allies. I need some help picking out the parts I have the case picked out which is

1- Thermaltake Blue Xaser V Damier Damier Full-Tower Case, Model "V5000D" -RETAIL - $115.00

I would like to speed about 1200 or less if possible. I would like it to be atleast 3GHz. But tell me what you suggest. Thank you in advance.

If you want 3GHz or more, it's going to probably cost more then $1200... Especially sense you plan on spending over $100 for a case.
You should for sure get:
1GB of DDR RAM
Generic Floopy drive and DVD drive
Around 120gig hard drive
128mb Graphics Card
Are you going to get AMD or Pentium, because that would affect anything else I could suggest for you to get...

For Video Editing you will also want a port to connect your camera up through. I originally got a Compro Cinema TV Tuner/Card with Composite In/Out, S-Video In/Out but after adding a Firewire port (IEEE1394) later I hardly use the compro card except for watching TV.

So yeah, I'd add a Firewire port for sure.

For the tasks that you've mentioned, get a p4 with Hyper-Threading. It's up to you whether you want to go with older socket 478 or newer socket T. Make sure to get lots of ram because there's never enough. Go with a 256MB video card instead of 128MB for video editing.

Actually, NLE software should do reasonably well with any graphics card that supports DX8 or better. Video editing isn't as hard on your video card as it might sound.

Video editing isn't as hard on your video card as it might sound.Agreed. And in fact, 128MB is most certainly enough for mid-range gaming cards, too! 256MB is nice, but only for really avid gamers with money to spend on a vid card that has enough power to actually use that 256MB of vid RAM!

Actually, for just video editing, any old 32MB or 64MB vid card would work just fine, too. As long as it's a GF2 or Radeon 7500 or better, your vid card won't hold you back during video/photo editing.

Oh, and as for the rest of your system, 3GHz is within your reach, depending on how much you want to spend on the other components. Check out this (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?t=35149) thread because I'm too lazy to cut-and-paste. :p
