When I run MS Bookshelf 95, or Bookshelf 99, the CPU usage jump to 100% and stay up there (shown in Task Manager). When I close that program, the CPU usage drop down to below 5%. Anyone experienced that proformance problem before and knew a good way to fix it?
Thanks.

The Macromedia link off Microsoft was most helpful in explaining exactly why this is happening...interesting read:

Thank you all for the information that described the reason of the odd behavior. The thing that real bothers me is when CPU usage is approaching 100%, the cooling fan of my laptop kicks in and generates noticeable noise (although MS bookshelf is idle and remains open). Sounds like I will have to live with it since MS doesnot seem to have any hotfix or newer version of bookshelf coming out soon;-(
