I've just installed W98 on a macine that had W95 on.

I have a PCI Serial controller problem and can't fine the driver. Everything I have is for W95.

It's a Gigabyte GA-6BXC Intel 440BX AGPset mobo.

I have updated the chipset drivers.

Cna anyone point me in the right direction, Please.

Grumpy,

Was this a fresh install or an upgrade? Don't know if the Controller uses a generic driver. What you might try is going into SAFE MODE and REMOVE the controller in DEVICE MANAGER.

Reboot and let Windows find and install.

It also appears that there are some improvements in a more recent BIOS for the board. This is not an area to delve into without researching possible problems and solutions. It did appear that GIGABYTE (http://www.gigabyte.com.tw) has the utilities and information necessary to accompish flashing the BIOS. This is a do so at your own risk kind of situation, however, with your move to Win98 there might be some additional features, and, or bugs they've taken care.
