lookin at getting a 64 3400 and the fatal1ty board just wondering if the board was worth the hype. i have a 160gb,200gb,and a 250gb, all IDE. i have a pci raid card so im not worried about that. although i plan on switching to sata in the near future. just wondering if the organization is good on the board (agp slot in way of ram) or anything of that nature and if a 3400 is a good match for it.

Well, that mobo doesn't have an AGP slot, so I don't know if that affects your buying decision or not. It uses the NForce4 Ultra chipset, so it's PCIe & PCI all the way. No SLI, either, but again, I don't know if that's important to you or not.
That particular model of mobo is quite expensive, but except for the lack of SLI, it's one of the best! Only 4 SATA ports, but they're SATA 2.0 spec so you have future-proofing there. It also has 1 IEEE1394a port in back, and another header on the mobo, so you've got some multimedia options there. It also comes with a rear card-slot output for tons of audio connections, so that's good, too. It also comes with all the cables and adapters that you'll probably need to fill your case with drives! Now of course, the real draw of that mobo is tied to its name. That sucker has a dual-40mm heatsink/fan exhaust system built right into the rear I/O panel, designed to cool the MOSFET's and other CPU circuitry. This means major OC'ing potential! This is essentially what you're really paying for with this mobo.
If you don't intend to OC your A64, there are cheaper options for you. If you absolutely need an AGP slot, you'll have to pick a different mobo! :p Happy hunting...
