The A+ core exam dealing with cpus. How far do they go back inregards to the varied types of cpu's, example> 8088 286 386 486? Or are there questions that go futher back than the 8088 cpu Intel?

I can only remember seeing references as far back as the 8088. Check CompTIAs site and see if their exam details have the information required.

Yes I do believe you are correct, for the latest { Myers A+ Book}
starts its information on 8088 cpu technology.
