The subject pretty much says it all. I bought a new case and moved everything from the old case into the new one. Before moving it worked fine. But now I can't get it to boot. The fans do a little twitch, but the power doesn't come on? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Just like if you plug a power supply in with nothing hooked to it, it won't work; may something isn't hooked up correctly. Take everything out except HD, video card, (and reg. stuff like mbrd, memory, etc.), and see if it boots. Then add one at a time. Re-check all connections first, before you do this.

Put everything back in the old case. It booted up fine. Wierd. Swaped the power suplys and it still booted up fine. I'm obviously missing something, because the case itself seems to be the deciding factor. Even with nothing but the MB, cpu, and ram - old case yes, new case no. I think I just bought a really expensive power suply.

Tonight I made quite a discovery. I am an idiot. If anybody else runs into this problem, your brain probably just stopped working. And remember, when you buy a new case the copper stands don't always come screwed in. Sometimes you have to do that part. Laying your MB on a sheet of metal will cause a short. No really. Anyway, thanks for the reply Jumby... I think I got this one. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif
