Hi. I'm someone who knows XP quite well and have worked with PC's for 9 years of my life.
I am having trouble sharing my internet connection with my two client PC's both WiFi. I use a Microstar International Router (AP54G) (that's a WiFi router, not the ADSL modem) connected to the Host with an AOL ADSL connection.
I am sharing the connection by having to enable "enable other computers to access files and internet" etc..... every time the host starts up.
Even then my Laptop Client doesnt recieve an internet connection straight away.......This is a very painful procedure as I'm sure you can understand.
I read on another forum that AOL "does'nt like its customers sharing a connection because it wants you to have an account for each computer..." can anyone shed any light on this and tell me if its true or not?
I am a UK citizen and I therefore would like to know of an (inter)national ISP server that is available to me that allows me to easily share a connection. Also some ISP's give out static IP addresses, does this mean that I can now Host games and my contacts can see me on server lists? As with AOL they cannot.
Cheers for any replies,
Cardinaluk
