The computer has been acting different lately, the modem freezing, homepage and refresh buttons not working properly.

I have AVG, ZA, Ad-Aware and a few days ago downloaded Spybot SD. I've been trying to download HijackThis and QWSShredder today, but each time I hit the download link I get a page saying access is forbidden.

This morning I received a message from ZA about a new network. It listed two, but I'm not sure what that means exactly, only that I don't have a home network. Here is what it listed

site 169.254.0.0/255.255.0.0
and
12.210.96.0/255.255.240.0.0 I can't block either of them.

Also, in Internet Options/ Security under restricted sites, it has this huge list of sites that I can't remove starting with www.coolsearch.

Anyone have any idea what I should do, or atleast what I should start with?

Try downloading CWShredder, and Hijack this from another computer, and copying the files using a floppy disk.
Run CWShredder, and let it fix everything it finds.
Then reboot, run Hijack this, and post the log here. ( split it across several posts if necessary)

CWShredder (http://cwshredder.net/bin/CWShredder.exe).

Hijack this (http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip)

I found a site where I could download CWSShredder, not HiJack this yet. The problem is, when I ran it, it said CWS wasn't present on my computer though it's still registering in Options/Security and I still can't download anything having to do with spyware/virus/ blah blah.

Try running CWShredder in Safe Mode a couple of times and then see if you can run it in normal mode and download HJT... You may have a rootkit and the fix for that is much more involved, so hope for CWS only...
