Deleting .lnk file

I have an item that shows in an error box when I boot my WinMe (no laughing) system. It is "MyWebSearch Email Plugin.lnk" I located this in WinFile and attempted to delete it, but since it can't find an application it won't delete itself. How can I get rid of this error message each time I boot?

Download and run this program run hijackthis make a log file in my docs copy log file and post it. You will need the others later. they are good to have anyway. One of the guru's will tell you what to do

Also, did you try to uninstall MyWebSearch?? If you haven't, please start with that...
