Network Trouble

ok now here we go
i have a pc with windows 98 connected through lan to a westell router
then i have two laptops with windows xpwirelessly connected to the router
then i have another laptop with windows 98 connected o the router with lan
the problem: on the laptop with windows 98 connected through lan and the pc connected though lan with windows 98 i cannot see computers connected in my network places
with the two wirelessly connected laptops with windows xp i can see all the computers connected
could someone help me so with the two computers connected through lan with windows 98 i can see the other computers connected to the router

how are the folders shared. if i remember, 98 can only see small names. 8 characters long no spaces when it comes to network sharing.

SO, the pcs with win98 can't see other pcs? Are you able to successfully ping other pcs from those 98 pcs and vice versa? If yes, you may need to enable guest access on those xp machines. Which version of XP does those machine run, Pro or Home?
