I have been trying to use Yahoo Launchcast Radio for a few days. Everytime the player attempts to load, I get an error message saying:
Error
Sorry, could not load all required files. Please try again later.
Error Code: 27 - playerWindow.rapi_common_js_composite_1_19
I have e-mailed Yahoo and they seem to think that my firewall is causing it. I am using Norton Internet Security 2003. I have disabled the firewall while trying to load it, but still get the same message. I have also done everything that is listed in the help section for LaunchCast. The video player (from the same website) loads fine. The only thing I seem to have a problem with is the music player. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Well I had the very same problem and it only took me all of 3 HOURS (jeesh!) to figure out where I was causing the problem! I have a cable connection which is protected in-part by ETrust EZ Armor (EZAV) Firewall (as well as about 2 other apps). I was in denial and had check the fire wall settings about 100 times before noticing that at the moment I was getting blocked from my player box this nice little icon was plainly saying that my "Privacy" setting had blocked something (it was not on top). So I went into the Firewall software that I thought I had disabled and went under "Privacy" and clicked on the "Main" tab and moved the pretty little slider bar down to "Off" for "Ad Blocking". Problem solved! BIG DUH TO ME! I told God if he'd let me fix the problem tonight that I would share, so there it is! I registered here just for this one! It was the only place I found someone w/ the same problem. I hope noone else has to spend more than 15 minutes of their life trying to figure this out! hehe! :p

Thank you so much allya! While Norton Internet Security 2003 doesn't have a slider bar to turn it off, it does have a place to uncheck the box to turn it off. I did this, and now it works great. I just ordered NIS 2005 so I may have problems again when I install it, but I'll know what to try to fix it. But for now, it's working. Thanks again!

Thanks for getting me on the right track. Here's what solved it for me.
When the player doesn't launch, Yahoo Music's tip says turn off the pop up blocker. In my case, that did no good.
I solved the problem by telling Norton Personal Firewall 2003 to allow inbound connections from launch.yahoo.com. Now it launches fine. I left both the Windows XP and the Norton Personal Firewall pop up blockers in place, without making launch.yahoo.com a site that the pop up blockers ignore.

I did everything you guys said to do and my player still displayed that message about files not loading, etc...
As it was trying to load, I opened up my EZ firewall settings and changed Mobile Code Control to "off" (I thought on would be better...NOT!). Now it works! Thanks to everyone that responded to this issue. Now I can listen to Launchcast and my radio station at home, not just at work! Awesome!
I will come to this website with any other computer related issues I have.
