I agree more sys info please.
Couple of things:-
Did you do the "out of case test"
Did you hear any power beeps when powering up?
Are you using At or ATX form factor?
give us as much info as you can....We shall try to help

jmanibusan: We do need more info, but in the meantime be very careful with the "testing" stuff! Husband recently built puter with new MSI 6330 v3 (I think) mobo. He put it all together and had same problem. Nothing..no power to board. Took it out of case, removed everything but chip, heatsink..and I think memory. Tested..still nothing. It turned out (after checking with another power supply) that the jumper setting in the mobo manual was a missprint..on the CMOS battery jumper setting (I forget which jumper number or designation it is). Okay, we resolved that with the MSI tech help, but somewhere in the testing process, the chip was damaged. We don't know where or why or how..but we are out the expense of a brand new chip, and have returned mobo for replacement because second chip wouldn't work either..so I strongly recommend getting more input on your problem before "testing" any further.

back button on power supplies works fine. after pressing the main power button (on pc) only the system fans & CPU fan turns on. the fans come/turn on after pressing the button, when i press the button a second time nothing happens, the fans won't even turn off! tks for your continued help..

well hope this helps.
1. Have u tried testing the connector output with multimeter?? Use this method provided u are electrically inclined or familiar with a multimeter.
2. Have u tried checking ur connnection from ur casing to your mobo? Maybe u placed the power switch jumper wrongly?? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
Good luck

I'm using a troubleshooting flowchart.
1. I assume POST appeared not to run.
2. There were no audible beeps.
3. This means the problem is with the POST.
4. Are PSU voltages correct?
5. If not you have a faulty power supply.
6. If they are, or assuming they are then:
7. Disconnect all peripherals and system adapter cards except keyboard and monitor.
8. If the post still does not run you have a faulty board.
9. If the post does run you perhaps do not have a faulty board.
10. Re-connect floppy disk drive and run diagnostic software tests, or if all's not well you may have a faulty board. If all's well you don't.
11. Shut down and re-connect ONE peripheral or adapter card to see if POST still runs. Ideally you should test each device with diagnostics.
12. Repeat with another peripheral or adapter card untill post fails to run. You have now identified a faulty device and the cause of your problem.
