I have a router that does not have a printer server port. I was curious to know if there is such a thing as a rj45 to usb adapter that would allow me to connect my usb printer to the router via a LAN port to create a network printer? I am currently using printer sharing on my home network but it requires the main pc to be on because the printers are connected thru it. I would also concievably do the same thing for my parallel printer if it is possible to get an adapter for rj45 to parallel.
Has anyone done something like this?

Thanks

I have used Netgear's PS101 (http://www.netgear.com/products/details/PS101.php) mini parallel print server on my LAN with great sucsess.

They have a model PS121 (http://www.netgear.com/products/details/PS121.php) for usb printers.
