Help with windows 98

Hi

I have just bought a new packard bell pc, without an operating system. I am trying to install windows 98 from an old IBM recovery CD and this will not work, I seem to be getting a message enter bios, can anyone help?

Or will I just need to go and buy the full version?

The old recovery disk will not work, as it is "tied" to the original IBM hardware.
The only answer is to go out and buy a copy of Win98SE, I'm afraid.
