I have tried reseating everything, and tested about all I can on this pc, I get long beeps and no screen or bootup, it used to happen, I would turn off the pc from the back power supply and reboot till it would work, now I can't even do that--non stop beeps, same time apart and same in length--please help http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
What BIOS? pattern to the beeps?
Other hardwrae specs would also be helpful......

Phoenix BIOS. Long coninuous beeps. Beep, space, Beep, space....repeating, same pattern. It never stops.
Hardware, Abit KG7 mobo, Athlon 1200 T-bird, Micron DDR RAM, IBM Harddrive, TDK burner.
I changed the video card, still beeps, tried new Ram, new sound card, and it still beeps. It wont even boot to the bios, it just beeps

can't even find out now but before it said it was fine--it used to do the same thing but I could always reboot somehow, turning off back switch, but now it won't allow me to do anything, I guess I'll have to take it to a shop to get it checked out, man this sucks, thank you for your help http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif I appreciate it

Using Troubleshooting Flowcharts.
1. Is the PC dead?
I assume you can hear the fan and see signs of power so it's not dead.
2. Did POST appear to run?
Yes because it is responsible for the beeps.
3. Is the monitor display correct?
No the monitor appears dead.
4. You have a DISPLAY PROBLEM.
5. Is the display lit up? No.
6. Is the mains lead ok? If it is not ok here is one cause of a problem.
7. If your mains lead is ok your MONITOR IS FAULTY.

Hey Baruuk, if you are still around, try opening the case and see if the CPU fan turns. You mobo should have a fan sensor, so if the fan doesn't turn, then NO BOOT http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif
Sylvander, just for your own info, flowcharts can be to general and assume too much.
As in the flow you described here, just because POST began, it does not mean it completed. That is it's purpose. If something is wrong, it reports with a beep code.
Analysis of this beep code is in order before assuming the monitor is dead http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Hi Baruuk,
P.O.S.T. is Power On Self Test. It is a process the computer goes thru during the startup phase. It tests all the devices attached and lets you know if there is a problem with something by a pattern of beeps.
HERE (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=POST+code+beeps) is a link to a Google search on your BIOS. Take a look around for your beep code and that will tell you whats up http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif
Let us know how it goes.
