Hello
I've been receiveing all those *Fatal Exceptions* since I switched to DSL.
I'm clueless where this fatal exception are happening. But they all look similar to me.
Could someone please tell me where and what seems to be the problem?

for some reason these look like your running an AMD processor? and this has something to do with the CPU voltage? Is this a fairly new machine? Have you changed the Voltage for the CPU in any way? not sure if I'm on the right track ? AMD has a problem with VXD and VMM errors with 98? But I don't understand why just becouse you run DSL you would be getting these erros unless It's the high speed putting a new strain on the processor? You may have to change the voltage settings and "cool" the processor down a bit.

Thank you YODA for your reply!
Power voltage.......
I live in Europe and using both European and US outlets. For PC, 110 setting with a converter and DSL is all European and I just use 220 wall
outlet with a surge protector. So do you think this is causing these errors? I've seen the fatal exception errors before but not as often as since installing the DSL a few days ago.
Would you recommend I consolidate all the outlets?
Thanks!!!

I think you misunderstood me or I did not quite explain my self very well.
this is the "processor" voltage "not what is coming out of the wall. This would involve changing the CPU speed by changing The(Core)voltage.Basically I guess you would be overclocking it a bit, But please be patiant and let some of the others here add there comments before taking any action. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

What are you doing when you get these errors?
Hmmm....just a thought, what about a possible grounding issue?
If you disconnect the DSL modem from the computer does the problem disappear?
Are they both plugged into the same outlet?
Also, what other changes where made when you switched over to DSL...software,hardware etc.

Thank you for helping me http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
So it is not the voltage of the power source... Is it ok to keep using US system for PC and German for all the DSL outlets?
I have no idea what the CPU voltage is.
*Those errors came up while I was browsing web sites which I never had
problems with before.
*DSL came with 4 external boxes and a 10/100Mbps adapter inside.
All DSL outlets go to a German surge protector and to the wall.
*I watched my friend switched to DSL for me. But I couldn't tell you the
details what exactly was done. I'll ask him. He used a disk only for
protcol (?) during setup.
I don't know if it's relevant but there's something I noticed.
As soon as DSL was hooked up, it dial-up ok but gets disconnected within a minute or so. It seems I could stay online longer when I constantly move
mouse. Today I ran AudioGalaxy in the background and I never got
disconnected. When I stop running it, I get disconnected again.
At the same time, the error hasn't come up yet while I stay online with
AudioGalaxy.
What is the grounding issue? Before I changed to DSL, I never had a connection problem nor all the fatal exception errors so often.
Since the error hasn't showed up and I can stay online with another program running, is it Windows' issue? I don't know why it doesn't work without another program running.
I'd be very appreciated for your further advice. Thank you! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif
