So I am working on putting together my computer but have run into the common problem of not booting up. I have a k7s5a mainboard w/athlon xp 1800, 256MB DDR, and Geforce 2 64MB with a 400W power supply. I've assembled the motherboard and placed the chip and fan/heatsink over it, installed the video card and the ram, and have the power supply hooked up to the mainboard and the chip fan. It won't boot up though. It won't even beep. I've tried to rearrange the jumpers, i've wiggled the video and ram but still nothing. When i turn the power on, the chip fan, video fan and case fan all spin, but nothing else. Wondering what i'm not doing. Any info would be great.

Try booting with the board sitting on a piece of cardboard, also check that the "clear CMOS" jumper is in th run/normal position and not clear.
