Interesting...the first test run actually crashed FireFox 1.02 returning an error that the memory instruction could not be executed. After restarting (which took a while, all subsequent tests did read the memory confirming (I presume) the vulnerability in FireFox 1.02.
The temporary solution, disabling JavaScript, is a bit problematic. Not with doing it, more with the need for it.

The update is already on the way, Firefox 1.03RC is on 5th release candidate, no added features in this one but it has a fix for last week's announced bug:

Also note a Mozilla suite update is also on the way for the same issues.
