All,

i have been looking around at AMD athlon 64 chips and even the newest P4 chipes and they all boast some form or another to have this type of capability. Can someone explain to me what hyperthreading/transport is, and how do they differ from one another?

thank you

Basically, it's an advancement on the capability for a processor to do more than one thing at a time in parallel with other things. Here's links that will tell you more than you would ever want to know: Hyperthreading (http://www.google.com/search?q=what+is+hyperthreading&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official)
