i have 750mhz computer and now i want to change it to a1 ghz.
if i change the cpu , do i have go to bios and set this up for the change.
what other things do i need to do for this change.my mother board will except up to 1 ghz.or is this a waste of time to change it.

Personally, I don't try to change unless I can at least double my current speed. Less than that and there isn't really all that much of a difference...and once you get much over 1GHz, most everything else in the system is too slow and the processor spends most of its time waiting for something to do...not to say that a 2+GHz machine won't be faster than a 750MHz machine but it won't be as dramatic as going from a 386 to a P266MMX would be......
