Welcome to PCGuide.

You came to the right place. You have a number of issues showing in your log. I recommend you wait till one of the HJT Gurus give you advice before fixing anything else. Sometimes it makes it more difficult for them.

Also your Java J2RE is outdated but wait until the computer is clean before updating it.

I don't see Vx2, but I do see a nasty case of CWS...

Please download CWShredder from here:

http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract/cwshredder_download.html

Then go to the HijackThis link in my signature and download AboutBuster....

Boot into Safe Mode (tap F8 before WinXP starts to load and
choose Safe Mode) and run both programs... Run AboutBuster at least twice...

Open an HJT scan and put checks by these items...

O4 - Startup: DLHelperEXE.exe
O23 - Service: Network Security Service ( 11Fßä#·ºÄÖ`I) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\appmc32.exe (file missing)

Then close all open windows except HJT and click Fix Checked...

Find and delete these (folders in bold):

C:\Program Files\DeskAd Service\DeskAdServ.exe
C:\WINDOWS\sysvs32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ipss32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\appmc32.exe

Use Search to find and delete: DLHelperEXE.exe

Then reboot to Normal mode and if any of these items did not appear in HJT in Safe Mode, run HJT again and fix them...

Reboot again and post a fresh log with an update on how things went... AboutBuster will produce logs after they finish the fix, post those too....

Also, I am not sure what you mean by a "pop-up online free virus scan", but if you mean one that is advertised in a Popup, they are almost universally malware infested... PLEASE do not use one of them...
