We do know SP2 should not be attempted without spyware removal, all updated drivers and certainly not attempted without good backups in case something goes wrong. Are you asking us what options you have at this point?
FYI my Toshiba updated to SP2 without incident but I know this is not always the case.

In attempt to set a scheduled task reply comes back. "You donot have permission to preform the requested operation." Apparently there is a password set from last year that I do not remember. Running 4 desk tops, yet I am on the admin's desktop, although all 4 desks are set to admin. privilages. Is that the problem? Newbie

Reboot into Safe Mode, you'll be prompted to type an admin password, if you used one during setup, enter that. Once Safe Mode finishes loading, make any settings changes you want then reboot into the normal accounts.
