This is just my opinion, but I find that Dell computers (not the laptops) are very poor systems. And that "award winning service" has failed me and friends numerous times.

I have problem with my dell and the service isn't the best, but luckly I have everyone here for help!

About the pc itself, 3 gig p4 xp and 256 mem is not a happy mix. You want at lest a half gig of ram.
The power supply is small--so you can't put to much more in it.
Only intergrated graphics and no pcie or agp. This is o.k. if you only want to surf the web.- it won't work well for games.
only two expandable ram slots, tht could hamper upgrading.

Overall: if the system is under $400 and you only want to surf, then it will work. If you want to have more options and you want a dell go with a refurbished 4700 with 512 ram. It has better specs. and costs around $600.

Hope this helps, hockeyman

Welcome to PCGuide...

Specs without a price makes it hard to give you any advice... If this is $100, it is a great deal... If it is $1000, it is a ripoff... How much are they asking for it??

This is a typical Dell POS.

145 watt Power supply is not powerfull enough in todays world.

You need 512 MB of RAM for XP to run properly.

You don't mention a CD-ROM or CD-RW.

I also think XP pro is better than home.

And finally, how long do you have the Award Winning service and support for, 90 days or 1 year.

What is the price on the Sempron... It sounds like a good computer depending on the price.... The Dell certainly is more than I would pay for it...
