cannot go to cd-rom from dos prompt

I have purchased a computer to experiment with.
It has no operating system at present.

I had to change the cd-rom becuase it kept on opening without any human activation.

Now with a windows 98 boot up disk in the flopppy I am unable to move to the cd-rom?
I can go to c and d.

Please help?

Go into bios and make sure your CD Rom is being seen by bios. Do an auto detect. If not found, check your CD Rom jumpers and cable.
