I can not uninstall a2. The reason I am trying is a-squared had a glitch in their system and switched my free account to a trial account.

I did a system restore because one of my boys, messed with the d/t and had my icon huge.

When the system restore finished, a-squared was back to 'you need to run this program once for it to be active.'

Every time I put my info in, it takes me back to the 'personal trial has expired' page.

I went into Add/Remove programs where it is listed and tried to uninstall it, but I get this error:

File: "C:\Program File\a2\unins000.dat" does not exist Cannot Uninstall.

I posted to the A squared forum earilier when I had this problem, but I think I need the smart people here this time.

Thanks!!

My take on it is that you're probably going to need the expertise of the software developer's of a-2 to remove things and get you back to base one. Trial versions always seem to have some kind of "clandenstine" registry entries that not only keep track of the time remaining, query you upon expiration, and then lock you out from reloading a "follow-up" trial version...

Plus, your situation seems a bit convoluted with the mistake made by the vendor. Where these entries are hidden, and to get you back to a clean bill of health, I would suspect will take their tech-support assistance...
